Since its inception in 1981, The Kansas State Fiddling & Picking Championships have existed thanks to the enduring efforts of volunteers and the financial support of individuals, groups and businesses within our community. As a non-profit, 100% volunteer-run organization, we are so grateful for each and every one of you who has helped further our mission to promote, preserve and grow participation in traditional acoustic music.

The fabric of FidPick is that of folk culture, inclusiveness, and family — both given and chosen. Each year our community grows larger and our reach grows more broad, with performers and contestants arriving from as far as Texas, Tennessee and Minnesota. As our impact increases, so too do our operating expenses. Every dollar contributed goes directly toward contests, prize money, concert performers, venue fees and promotional efforts.
